Serving the entire population of our region, 2-1-1 Broward connects people with community, health and disaster services through a free, 24/7 stigma-free phone service and searchable online database. The 2-1-1 Hotline for Children with Special Needs is Broward’s single source for information and referrals for children birth to 22 years of age with a developmental and/or physical disability. This specialized hotline focuses on helping parents, grandparents, caregivers, agencies, teachers, coaches, therapists, nurses and doctors who serve the needs of children with disabilities find support, answers and hope.
Dial 2-1-1 to learn more about developmental screening for your growing child. Help Me Grow is an information line connecting families to community resources and providing free child developmental screenings.
The 2-1-1 Homeless Helpline is operated by a team of highly skilled and compassionate 2-1-1 Broward counselors. The 2-1-1 team is responsible for managing the waiting list for families in need of shelter and for prioritizing placements based on critical factors such as health, safety and ages of children. The team works closely with homeless shelters to track the availability of family beds and to quickly place families at highest risk into those beds. The team also maintains regular contact with families on the waiting list to assess whether their needs or situations have changed.
2-1-1 Broward Touchline is a free service that offers a daily telephone call for people over 60 years of age who live alone and need someone to check on them. The purpose of the program is to ensure that older adults can maintain their sense of well being while remaining in their homes and community. Many times, receiving daily Touchline calls can prevent older adults from requiring more costly services or institutional placement.
TeenSpace 2-1-1 is a fun, engaging, interactive website designed to serve as a way for teens, family members and professionals serving our youth and their families to communicate with 2-1-1 and each other through the use of today’s technology/networking tools. -1-1 Teen Hotline is a 24 hour, 7 day a week, free and anonymous telephone helpline for teens that need help or information. Specially trained 2-1-1 counselors listen to their feelings and concerns and help them make positive choices that will support their growth and success.
The 24-hour Behavioral Health INFOLine provides free, confidential emotional support, crisis intervention, and information and referrals to child and adolescent mental health services, substance abuse prevention and treatment programs, and other behavioral health services. The INFOLine serves as the first step to helping parents and professionals navigate the complex system of care and accessing the services their children need.
During a disaster, 2-1-1 works closely with government and community organizations to provide public information to the community. 2-1-1 also reports community needs that are not being met, and acts as the central communications point for other community agencies and non-governmental organizations.

Every day in Broward County, families deal with deployment, separation and reunification with family members, and readjusting to daily life. Often times the most difficult problem is not knowing where to turn when help is needed. No matter if you’re a veteran, active military, reservist, transitioning to civilian life or a family member, 2-1-1 can will help you find the help you need.
2-1-1 Broward provides 24-hour, 7-day access to mental health services and alcohol and drug services. We serve as a 24/7 suicide prevention/intervention hotline, providing mental health crisis intervention and information and referral to mental health services and drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services for adults and adolescents.
Flakka is an extremely addictive, illegal, controlled substance that comes in a crystalline rock form and can be swallowed, snorted, injected, or used in an e-cigarette and vaped. Flakka is produced from a compound known as alpha-PVP, synthetically derived and made from an amphetamin-like derivative of the drug cathinone. The physiological effects causes excited delirium, delusions, paranoia and hallucinations, incites violent fits, nightmarish visions, belligerency and aggression and gives its users seemingly superhuman strength.

BRHPC serves as the lead agency for the Broward County geographic service area under the University of South Florida Navigator grant. Navigators serve as in-person resource for those who want additional assistance with Marketplace coverage in 2015 – 2016, including as they shop for and enroll in plans in The Federal Health Insurance Marketplace.
To ensure access throughout Broward, BRHPC partners with local community-based organizations including: 211-Broward, Community Access Center, Hispanic Unity of South Florida, and Urban League of Broward County.
