2-1-1 Broward has extensive experience in handling highly sensitive calls and de-escalating sensitive situations. The training program which has been used very successfully internally is now being offered to non-profits and businesses. This state-of-the-art training is now available for customer/client-facing employees at companies, governmental agencies and non-profit organizations. Highly skilled trainers will provide front-line agency workers and customer service representatives with the skills they need to de-escalate anger and work cooperatively with clients to achieve positive outcomes.
There are three primary training classes currently being offered Cultural Diversity Training, Disability 101, Active Listening and Suicide Prevention for Teens or Providers. In addition, 2-1-1 Broward offers training to non-profit front-line employees and for-profit human resource specialists to familiarize them with major delivery systems of health and human services in Broward County, how to navigate through the local system of care and education for children with special needs and adolescent suicide awareness and prevention.
