Both personally and professionally, Alan has advocated for many and understands how critical the 24/7 crisis hotline is for Broward County residents in need. He believes “it is a privilege and duty to give back to the community.” He has been a longtime CLUB 2-1-1 member and most recently served as a CLUB event Ambassador. His firm, GPG Law, specializes in commercial litigation in the tri-county area and international business. Alan, originally from Canada, speaks fluently in French and Spanish. He graduated from University of Miami and continued on at University of Miami School of Law where he was an editor of University of Miami Law Review. He served as a judicial intern to Judge Natalie Baskin of the Third District Court of Appeal. Following law school, he joined Fine Jacobson Schwartz Nash & Block, later joined Zack Kosnitzky and in 2000 established his own firm, Brooks, Hermerlee, Geffin. from 2000-2006 before joining forces with Chris Perez-Gurri at GPG Law. Alan is a proud hockey dad and player himself. He enjoys water sports, boating and diving. He, his wife and youngest son reside in Weston while his other two children are attending University of Florida.
